The U60 circuit breaker is a device that connects a START CAPACITOR, which can be integrated with the device in a single enclosure, to the RUN CAPACITOR during the starting phase in cases where a high STARTING TORQUE is required and disconnects it after a predefined insertion time (standard 1”).

The life expectancy of the U60 depends on various factors such as the capacity of the start capacitor, the voltage across the run capacitor, the insertion time, the frequency and the temperature: the higher these values ​​are, the shorter the life of the device. Conversely, a longer waiting time between successive starts safeguards its functionality for a longer time. It is widely used in applications such as compressor motors, pressure washers, electric pumps, gate openers, etc.
